Onda by Mola

Privacy Policy

Effective August 21, 2026

Molalab operates Onda. This policy explains what Onda stores, when information leaves your device, and the choices available to you.

Information Onda stores

Onda may store the information needed to provide and personalize the app:

  • Onda Library items;
  • listening history;
  • moods explicitly selected by you;
  • Emotional Index records; and
  • learned recommendation preferences.

Emotional Index is nonclinical product-personalization data. It is not a diagnosis, medical measurement, or Apple Health record.

Local storage and iCloud

Product data is stored locally on your device. Private iCloud/CloudKit sync occurs only after you explicitly enable Onda iCloud Sync. You can continue using Onda locally without enabling sync.

Apple Health

Apple Health integration is optional, separately authorized, and write-only. If you enable it, Onda can write eligible moods that you explicitly select. Onda does not request Apple Health read access.

Apple Health records are not copied into Onda’s CloudKit store or analytics. Entries written to Apple Health remain under your control through Apple Health, where you can review or delete them and manage Onda’s permission.

Optional analytics

Analytics is optional and remains off until you enable Share Analytics. If enabled, Mixpanel receives feature-use, interaction-mechanics, and playback-reliability events associated with a persistent random app identifier. This identifier is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Analytics excludes:

  • mood names and mood identifiers;
  • Emotional Index events and values;
  • Apple Health data;
  • song titles and artist names; and
  • Apple Music catalog identifiers.

MusicKit and Apple Music

Onda uses MusicKit and asks for Apple Music authorization to provide Apple Music features such as catalog access and playback. You may also choose to import eligible items from your Apple Music Library into Onda Library. Importing an item into Onda does not add, remove, or otherwise alter anything in your Apple Music Library.

Your controls

  • Onda iCloud Sync: choose whether private CloudKit sync is enabled in Onda’s settings.
  • Apple Health: choose whether to authorize mood writes and manage or revoke that access in Apple Health or iOS Settings.
  • Analytics: turn Share Analytics on or off in Onda’s settings.
  • Onda data: use Onda’s deletion controls to remove Onda Library, learned preferences, listening history, and Emotional Index data. If sync is enabled, allow connected devices time to receive the deletion.

Privacy requests

To request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of information associated with Onda, email hello@molalab.app. We may need to verify your request. Data that exists only on your device cannot be accessed or exported by Molalab; use Onda’s on-device controls for that data.
