Prototype

ParkFlow

A school parking prototype I started after noticing that assigned spots can sit empty while other students are still waiting. It explores daily confirmations, waitlists, and fair rotation so a limited resource is easier to share and understand.

Demo

The current ParkFlow prototype is live and ready to explore.

Try the daily parking confirmation and waitlist idea in the working prototype.

What I noticed
Parking can feel unfair when more students need spots than the school has available, but some assigned spots still go unused on certain days.
What I tried
I built a prototype where permit holders confirm whether they need their parking spot for the day. If they do not confirm by a set time, the spot can be released to waitlisted students through a fair rotation system.
What I worked on
I worked on the parking flow, daily confirmation logic, waitlist access, reservation rules, and ways to explain the system so students know what is happening.
What I used
Parking flow, daily confirmation logic, waitlist access, reservation rules, and student-facing explanations.
What I learned
Fairness is not only about giving everyone the same thing. Sometimes it means making limited resources easier to understand and share.
Where it is now
ParkFlow is a prototype I built and shared as an idea for school parking.
